The EOK scholarship program is for deserving young women who have demonstrated community service, leadership, and academic achievement. Previous applicants may apply but must submit a new application. Prior recipients are not eligible.
Award Amount: $5,000.00.
The completed application and all required materials must be submitted by June 30, 2024.
In 2011, the EOK Scholarship Fund was established in recognition of the Hellenic Women’s Club’s 75th anniversary. Each year, scholarships of $5,000 are awarded at The Mistletoe Ball based on academic merit, community service, and leadership efforts. To date, the EOK has given over $405,000 to women of Greek descent who are dedicated to pursuing their higher education goals.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirement
To qualify, the applicant must be:
- A female resident of Massachusetts or a female attending a college/university in Massachusetts.
- Officially admitted to an accredited U.S. college or university graduate or undergraduate degree program.
- U.S. citizen of Greek American lineage and/or Greek Orthodox faith.
Additional Requirements & Application Conditions
Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. A copy of a current high school, college, or university transcript must accompany the application.
Community Service and/or leadership qualities can be demonstrated in School, Church, Town, or any other community, group, or organization important in your life
Relatives of Hellenic Women’s Club Active and Associate Members and their spouses are not eligible to apply. A list of all active and associate members can be found on the application and at www.hellenicwomensclub.org under the “Members” section. Relatives are defined as sisters, daughters, granddaughters, and nieces.
Proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university must be validated by providing at least one of the following:
- Letter from advisor,
- Letter of matriculation
- Tuition bill
